Mini Wedding Cake #2
Another mini-wedding cake made for a friend's birthday. Another friend said how much she liked her wedding cake, so she came up with this idea. It's a DH Classic Yellow with the extender recipe added and all crisco BC (for whiteness). It's a 3 layer 8", 2 layer 6" and 3 layer 4". This was time consuming, but EASY!

Poker Cake
This is a 2 layer, 6" DH Classic Yellow with extender added. All buttercream with an edible image for the cards. AWESOME tasting cake! Unbelievable! The sides did bulge a little due to overfilling, but other than that it was a pretty easy cake. It's for my mom's husband's birthday that happens to be on Thanksgiving this year, so we didn't want a big cake.

Mini Wedding Cake
This is a devils food and all buttercream 8",6", and 4" mini wedding cake for a friend's anniversary. They didn't have a wedding cake, so she wanted it to look like a real wedding cake...I hope that it does. It's my FIRST time making roses EVER! They aren't super hard, but they're hard to do properly. Also my FIRST time doing the bead border. I need LOTS more practice, but it's coming along.

Newspaper 30Th Birthday Cake
This design is from "Cakerator" here on CC. I'm so NOT creative, so I used all of her ideas to make this one. 2 layer 9x13 marble cake with chocolate buttercream filling and all buttercream frosting. The grass mat & daisy are royal. Photo is an edible image. This cake was FUN FUN FUN to do! The only thing that I didn't like was the royal icing...it was murder piping all of the "grass" on the mat. I think that my hand almost fell off....it was WAY worse than stars! THANK YOU CAKERATOR FOR THE DESIGN!

Mini Fondant Gift Box Cake #2
Here's my other gift box cake made from MMF. The lid and box are cake, the rest is MMF. This one was SO fun! I used the punch out fondant flower cutter thingy for the flowers. I LOVE this one! I still need to make my edges neater and get rid of all of the powdered sugar, but I'll keep practicing!

Mini Fondant Gift Box Cake
Okay. First of all, thank you to "peacockplace" for the inspiration from her stacked gift box cakes. This is my first MMF and my first gift box cake. It's only about 3 1/2" by 3 1/2". It was a lot of fun, but I have trouble getting all of the excess powdered sugar off of it. I also wanted to do a bow and ribbon, but I couldn't figure out how...so I used Duff's method for fondant roses. I like it enough, but I hope to do better next time.

Rip Birthday Cake
This is a 9x13 doctored yellow cake cut into 3 pieces with 3 2" layers of 9" doctored devils food inspired by mnmmommy's tombstone. I pretty much copied everything that she did....THANK YOU!!!!! But, I used all buttercream since I haven't tried fondant, yet. This was REALLY fun!!! I could do these every day!

Sudoku Birthday Cake-Border Added
This is scratch yellow cake with all buttercream. It's my FIRST Edible Image (just the grid, not the #'s) with my new printer! FUN!!! It's for my Mom's birthday...she's totally Sudoku obsessed. I'm also testing freezing the cake completely frosted. Hmmm. Inspired by Edibleart's Sudoku cake...thanks! OK....I just had to add the top border. The cake looked a little naked to me.

Snare Drum Cake Fbct
This was a nightmare. It's 3:30am and I'm just getting done with this. It's a doctored yellow cake with all buttercream FBCT. The client is traveling 3 hours with it, so I couldn't make a 3-D drum, so they requested a flat cake shaped like a drum. This drum actually came straight from a picture that she provided. The FBCT broke in several places, the glitter wouldn't stick to the sides, my VIVA papertowel got stuck. The list goes on. But, it's done.

3-D Rubber Duck
This is a scratch yellow cake with all buttercream. It's my first 3-D cake and it was really fun! It's also first time using ribbon...way easy. I matched the colors and style of this cake to the baby shower invitations provided by the customer. I used one dowel in the head and one in the tail. I hope that's enough support and it doesn't collapse!

First Wedding/tiered Cake
Well, it's lopsided. I can't believe that I didn't catch that with how uptight I am about those things. I just winged this cake for a friend who requested it today for this weekend. She wanted a mini wedding cake to have for her anniversary this weekend. It's just for her and her husband, so I think that it'll be okay.

Tony Stewart Fbct
This is my first sheet cake...it's a half sheet cake. I used one 9x13 dark chocolate and one 9x13 butter yellow cake and put them together to make a half sheet. What a job! The flags and car are FBCT. It was much easier than the Wonder Woman fiasco I did a couple of weeks ago, but the black frosting (wilton colored) dried out as I was outlining and when I blew on it, it all blew away!! I had to re-do almost half of it. But, this black frosting isn't running, so I'm happy.

Purse Cake
This cake was inspired by purse cake done by "micfish". The pattern is freehanded and the handle is ribbon. My sister wanted a "coach" purse for her birthday, so I made this one as a joke with collaboration from my Mom. We had TONS of fun. This is my first sculpted cake and my first scratch made cake. It's a scratch golden yellow cake with buttercream and chocolate cream cheese buttercream. I also made Cake Balls with the leftover carved parts. YUMMY!

Wonder Woman Cupcake Cake
This is my first cupcake cake. WOW...they are a LOT of fun!!! I can't wait to think of an idea to do another one. However, the FBCT was awful. It looked great until I went to apply it to the cake and it smeared everywhere. I was really proud of my tracing, since I REALLY cannot draw. I used the canned chocolate fudge frosting for the black. I won't do that again for FBCT. I'll figure out another way to get black. I also used the VIVA method for the first time....WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

Chocolate Snickerdoodle Cornelli Lace-Top View
This is the TOP VIEW of the Chocolate Snickerdoodle Cake with Chocolate Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting from the Chocolate Cake Mix Doctor. My friend requested it for her birthday tomorrow. I wanted it to look fancy, but I'm still REALLY new at cake decorating. I'm not sure of how the cream cheese frosting will hold up. Also, it's my very FIRST try at shells...they're harder than they look!
