My First Topsy Turvy
My first topsy turvy. I just wanted to see if I could do it. The construction was not as difficult as I thought but I did learn one important thing. Don't ice a frozen cake and expect it to crust within 7 to 10 minutes. It is a peanut butter cake with chocolate buttercream icing. The funky blue color is because I was too lazy to make a white buttercream and it was only for fun anyway. I know it is not perfect, but I learned a lot and I am looking forward to trying again for real.

Bakugan Cake
My son loves Bakugan and there is not much out there. He wanted real Bakugans on the cake so I did the best I could to make it look like the playing card. The FCBT came out terrible. My icing was too thin and the colors didn't come out right. I ended up having to paint the colors on with food coloring and a paint brush. He was happy with it even if I wasn't as pleased.

Brother's Wedding
My first wedding cake. It was a wedding gift for my brother and his wonderful wife. She couldn't have chosen an easier design and I had so much making it. It is white cake with strawberry filling, buttercream icing, cornelli lace and pink ribbon around the bottom. Roses on top are real.

Presents Cake
I love to try new things. This was a birthday cake for an older friend and my first time using fondant. The bows didn't come out so well, but the cake looked pretty good on the table. A few people thought it was real presents. I don't think it looked that good, but we are our own worst critic.
