I made this for my daughter's 4th birthday party.....circus theme. The top layer was white w/ coconut buttercream, middle layer was chocolate with strawberry filling, and bottom layer was white with lemon filling. This was just my 4th cake ever to make and it was BEYOND stressful! As I was assembling the tiers and sweating from nerves, my 4yr. old told me to calm down, it's just a cake! I think I'll take her advice.

I have just started making cakes and my girls are dying to join in on the fun! My 4 and 3 yr. old girls helped me (and ate lots of icing along the way) while my 6 month old watched and drooled. They chose the flavor, colors, and placed some of the fondant decorations on the cake. It was fun, but a little help goes a looooong way!!
