Fair Entry Cuppies
I was trying to copy some really cute cupcake fabric I saw, kinda cutey retro cuppies on a pink background. These were my entry for my local fair. It's supposed to be cherries an hearts on top
Topsy Turvy Wedding Cake
This was a first!! How on earth do you photograph one of these? Anyway, I was pleased with how it ended up except for the ribbon. It looks unnatural or something, who would have thought it would be so hard to get ribbon crooked on a cake?
Ryan An Ryan's Cake
Cute note- both the bride an groom were named Ryan. I loved the bottom tier of this cake! I really feel like it needed some type of topper, I added the petals for my photos, there wasn't anything on the cake. Thanks for looking!!
Baby Boy Buggy Shower
The customer found several photos an together we came up with this. After delivering an looking at the pics, I realized the buggy has to handle. The cupcakes were to make-up for servings needed in other flavors.
50Th Anniversary Cake
This would have turned out okay, except for the ugly topper!!! This poor women who ordered this didn't have a clue what she wanted and I just about lost it trying to work with her.
Scroll And Dot Wedding Cake
This was for a family members wedding. I wasn't crazy about the design, but I think it ended up looking okay. The lily's are plastic, I should have made them, they would have been a better size. I had to do the flowers, decorating at the chruch an reception, and all the favors so time was kinda short. Anyway, I just love the colors! Thanks for looking!!
Ivory Pleated Skirt Cake
Well, here it is. I think the pleating turned out good, except for when I stacked the cake, the bend in the fondant cracked. What happened? Thanks for indydebi for showing me the photo, an to enthralled for giving me the inspiration. The bride found the cake in a BRIDES magazine, but it was all white, that photo helped me get the color scheme going. Anyway, thanks for looking and thanks for all the tips and instructions!!!
Power T Checkerboard
This was actually for a grooms cake for a UT couple. Both attended schoole there, so it was natural. Thanks for looking!!
Thanks to all those I have studied around here, I can't believe I actually pulled this off. The "house" was really too big for the base cake, but anyway, I made it work! Thanks so much for the inspirations!! Oh, and everything is cake except the head, it's styrofoam. The ears and hand are just fondant, everything else is cake with fondant covering.
I attempted these a little differently this time around. I completly finished the first one before even carving the second. I wasn't thinking and put both on the board last time and like to have never got that thing iced!! I did manage to only make two straps. I forget to make the oher two until she got here to pick it up! Thanks for looking!!
Pink "girly" Shower Cake
This was such a fun reception!! We had all shades of pink, boas, and all kinds of flowers everywhere. Thanks for taking the time to look and please share any pointers.
Ivory An Calla Lily Fair Entry
I made this dummy cake for my fair entry. Only sencond time covering in fondant. Not the exact design I had in mind, but I had to cover up some mistakes in the fondant. Thanks to those who gave me ideas on how to cover it up. The topper was also a first, had never made one with the rolled fondant/gumpaste. Thanks for looking and please share any pointers!
Western Wedding Cake
This one just about killed me! I'm still having nightmares three weeks later! Orginally, it was supposed to be stacked, which I tried! It started leaning and leaning....so I took it apart and ended up doing this. I didn't charge, since it's not what she wanted. I still feel bad. So, how bad is it? Please be honest
Gift Table Cakes
I got the idea a couple years ago from here, I did a 8'sq, 9x13, and 9'rd. This was for a housewarming. Thanks for looking!
International Harvester Cake
This was thrown together with leftover cake, icing, and berries at the last minute.
Daisy- Navy An Yellow Cake
Can't say as I am proud of this one. I think it looks so tilted, I don't think it really was, but it sure looks like. I feel like the two squares were too large for the way they were stacked. It was a 8' sq with a 6sq turned offset, I think that may be why it looks off. The bride combined several designs to create this, I hope that at least she was happy with how it turned out. Thanks for looking!!
Flip Flop Cake
No one told me these were pain in the butts to smooth!! I liked to have never got them somewhat smooth. The sand, seashells, an flowers hopefully distracts from the no smoothness of the cake. Thanks for looking!!
The bride an groom wanted a Chocolate Overload theme, an really wanted candy bars on the cake. She wanted people to be able to have a peice of choclate with the cake, so this is what we ended up with. Thanks for looking!
Silver Dragee Wedding Cake
White ribbon around base, dragees above that. White cake, Strawberry filling, Crisco frosting. Thanks for looking!
High School Musical Cake
I found my inspiration from Wgoat, I think that is the name, anyway it is cristi from KY. That black sketch of the actors was a pain, but I thought it was cute! Thanks for looking!
Red Scroll Birthday Cake
I think that this red looks so good on the gold paper!! Just a simple scroll birthday cake for a office birthday party. Thanks for looking!
Open Gift Box Package Cake
I had always wanted to try one of this and I needed to something to donate to a benefit and thought it was a good time to try. I had to leave a peice of cardboard inside the lid, it only had about 28 hours to dry, I think it needed longer. I am really wondering what it brought, probably not much, but I wonder. Anyway, thanks for looking and it was Strawberry Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.
80Th Birthday Cake Book
This is one shaped pan I am so glad I bought. I tried this once before but jsut carved the cake, never again!! Works so much better with the pan. Thanks for looking!
