3 tier (5, 8, 12) BC with fondant drape. I couldn't get an impression mat in time, so the diamond pattern was made with some rulers. Bottom tier is yellow cake with BC filling, middle is chocolate cake with choco bavarian creme, and top is yellow with strawberry preserves.
7-tier, all hexagons - design is from one of the Wilton Wedding books. Each tier is different flavor and filling. All buttercream frosting. So many mistakes on this one, but overall came out ok.

This was for a little boy who was having a dog-themed birthday party at his grandparents lake house. Canoe, paddle, lily pad and sun are made from Starburst candies. Dock, tree trunks and canoe seat are pretzel sticks. Trees are smooshed gumdrops. Rocks are fondant. Flowers on the side are just those Wilton flower shaped sprinkles. Water is tinted piping gel over buttercream. Dogs are plastic.
Dump truck cake for friend's birthday at DH's job - (he gets a lot of paperwork dumped on him) -buttercream frosting, cookies for wheels and cookies for the 'paperwork' in the back
BC on the bear. Fondant 'blanket', and a regular pacifier.

Did this for a friend's son. Animals and tree leaves are plastic...everything else is cake and buttercream. Rocks are fondant. The 'water' looks a little white in the pic where it flows down, but that was just the flash on the camera. Thank you Doug for the help with the rocks!

Ivory fondant over buttercream with buttercream trim. Cake sizes are 16, 12, 10, & 8 inch. Used Satin Ice brand fondant for the first time (loved it!).
Did this for a friend who had just gotten a new plane. The tail fins and propeller cones are not edible (I made them out of royal icing and they broke... so plastic had to go in at the last minute. The propellers are licorice... I used the cross pan and just carved it to shape it.

This was my first outdoor wedding, and my first attempt at fondant. The cake table was on a nice hill which made it oh so wobbly. I was so freaked out when the sun came out and started shining directly on the cake (not knowing if it would melt, ooze, collapse, etc) that I thought I would pass out - oh yeah, did I mention I was 7 months pregnant?! This was four tiers, four different fillings with both yellow and chocolate cake. BC coating under the fondant and BC trim around the base of the fondant.
