My Wedding Cake
Picture of my own wedding cake. LOL....never make your own cake!!! Middle three tiers are cake....Neopolitan so three colors in each tier....frosted in chocolate ganache and covered with vanilla fondant. Flowers are gumpaste roses, sweetpeas, stephanotis and five petal blossoms. All made by hand....I had cake issues with the two big tiers so had to do some disguising....

Shoulder Cake
This is a cake ordered by a friend as a thank you to the nurses who took care of her after her shoulder surgery. Vanilla pound cake with tart lemon butter cream filling and frosting under the fondant. Rhonda's MMF for details, rose is gumpaste. Thanks for looking. This is only my second carved type cake, I was pleased it came out okay!

Joyce's Retirement Cake
Neopolitan cake with fresh straberry filling between the strawberry and vanilla layer, chocolate ganache between the chocolate and vanilla layer. frosted with ganache and covered with Michelle's Fondant. Shells are white chocolate, Plumerias, Hibiscus, Shell with pearls, flip flops are all gumpaste.

Alexis' Adoption Cake
Made for a little 11 year old girl for a celebration following her adoption ceremony in court. Chocolate cake with raspberry chocolate ganache filling, frosted with ganache and covered in fondant. Roses and letteing are gumpaste, pearls and lace are 50/50 paste, bunny is gumpaste from a mold and hand painted.

Cake For The Big Cheeses
This cake was for a summit meeting for the Director of the agency I work forand also the Regional Directors and Associate Regional Directors. They loved it!! They gave me two rounds of applause!!! Choc fudge cake with choc orange ganache and orange buttercream under the fondant. Mice were gumpaste and labels and sign were edible images. The labels were intentionally made to loog damaged. Pic came out blurry, not sure why!

Tari's Birthday Purse
Many many thanks to Sugarshack for all her patience, help and her beautiful cake that inspired me to tackle this one!! I made this for my Boss's birthday, she looooves purses! Cake is 5 layer chocolate, carved and filled with fresh raspberry buttercream. Covered and decorated in fondant. Handle is 50/50 and flowers are gumpaste. This is my first attempt at carving a cake and also making phalaenopsis (moth) orchids.

Victorian Fantasy
This is the cake I entered in the County Fair this year. First time doing most everything; draping, making roses petal by petal, making a mold for the jewelry, lace wrap..... these are fondant covered dummies 6, 8, 10 and 12". Skirt and doily cover are fondant, roses and jewels are gumpaste. Inspired by and some replication of a cake by Kerry Vincent.

Veronica's Birthday
This was made for my friend's daughter's fifth birthday. 12x18 cut in half, torted and stacked. WASC and Strawberry layers alternating and filled with a tart lemon bc so it was like strawberry lemonade. frosted with bc and store bought figures. Veronica wanted both princesses and Tinkerbell so Mom bought the figures.

Ken's Goodbye Cake
This is a Chocolate Overload cake I made for my Boss's farewell pot luck lunch. He's such a chocoholic!! It's a 12x18 cut in half, torted and stacked. My favorite dense chocolate cake scratch recipe filled with chocolate ganache. Frosted in Chocolate BC. The strawberries were stuffed with a cheesecake filling (posted by another CCer in a thread a little while back).

Andrea's Wedding Cake
This is a my step-daughter's medieval wedding cake. Sorry the detail doesn't show up too well, I wasn't the photographer. 8" double layer inside the pillars, 14" double layer round, 9" double layer heart and 6" double layer heart. 4 9" double layer heart satelite cakes. All are dark fudge cake with vanilla buttercream. Simple shell borders and I made fresh flower bowls and other fresh flower accents. I also made the two ceramic castles. Thanks for looking.

Robley's Wedding Cake
8", 12" and 16 " x 6" tiers. All layers are my special carrot cake with Cream Cheese BC frosting. Bride wanted a very plain cake with fresh flowers. Wow was this a learning experience!! I had to transport this cake 10 miles up the canyon in mid July....90 degree heat and no AC in the car. The bottom two tiers weighed 30 lbs. I thought we were going to lose the bottom tier altogether. Had to prop the cake up under the board with a rock to keep bottom layers from sliding apart.
