I didn't like my color flow birds and didn't use them. I also forgot about leaving room for a border on the cake board. OOPS. Anyway, I like doing basketweave and knowing how to make Royal icing flowers.
My mother LOVES buttercream, so since this one was covered in buttercream everything, I took it to her. I think I have improved on nearly all aspects since then-- thank goodness.
My first attempt at decorating with cream cheese frosting. It didn't work as well as I had hoped, but putting in the freezer for a few minutes every 20-30 minutes helped. This was for my BIL's birthday.
I did this for fun, but it ended up being used for a retirement party at school. My first attempt at fondant leaves-- too thick, and I used water to thin the food coloring for painting. Still everyone seemed to like it.
