Tiger Baby Shower Cake
The parents didn't find out the sex of the baby before birth, so they did the little one's room entirely of black, white and orange with tigers. So was the theme of the baby shower. Mexican Chocolate cake, filled with cinnamon buttercream, topped with vanilla buttercream, fondant accents and tequila lime buttercream for the black.

Princess Of The Jungle Birthday Cupcakes
Our daughter loves princesses & animals so we had a Princess of the Jungle party for her 3rd birthday. Everything was inspired off of the dress I bought her. I scanned the dress, redrew the animals and used them for the invites & cake. I printed them and traced/piped chocolate on wax paper. The cupcakes are cherry chip with BC frosting. They match the tiered cake and perfect for all the kiddos!

I scanned the dress, redrew the animals and used them for the invites & cake. I printed them and traced/piped chocolate on wax paper. Cake is cherry chip with BC frosting. The topper was a mini bundt cake w/a doll that looks like our daughter wrapped in plastic. Decorated with BC & shimmer dust (never used it before). My first tiered cake! :-)

Pink & Blue Baby Blocks Cakes
This was the show-stopper at our friends' recent baby shower/party! Two 9x13 cakes: one Cherry Chip dyed pink and one White dyed blue. Each block had both cakes in them. I made buttercream frosting - half the blocks blue, half pink and all with the creamy-white BC for the piped details. The blocks spelled "BABY" from the front "BEAU" (the nickname) on the back, had the parents initials, shapes, numbers of importance and baby items on them. I piped two lambs for mom's last name, Lamb.

Simple & Delicious Chocolate Birthday Cake
My husband loves chocolate, so when I gave him a choice of two kinds of cake, he of course, wanted both! This is a 4-layer cake... alternating Chocolate Chunck and Triple Chocolate Chunck layers. I made a super-delicious, milk-chocolate, cinnamon frosting. YUMMMM!!!! Nothing too fancy about it, just simple and delicious. In fact, I just used the pastry bag with a snipped tip that I used to fill between the layers to pipe the detail along the bottom edge. I really liked the simple, uneven waves it created.

Blue, Yellow, And Green Cupcakes
Here's how the entire display looked. Later my guests used the letter candles to spell out "Bath Yard Hippy" so everyone brought in their lettered cupcake, and we sung that to my husband instead! ;-) Double-Chocolate and Cinnamon cupcakes all topped with a generous amount of vanilla buttercream frosting. So yummy and SO beautiful. I used a different tip and piping pattern for each color. I absolutely love how these came out! :-D

Record Cupcakes For A Rockstar Baby Shower
Another view of the record cupcakes I made for a Rockstar baby shower that I co-hosted. There are a couple flavors of cake and I used black-tinted buttercream frosting (I didn't think of using chocolate frosting) with a grooved scraper to make the ridges on the records (it worked better than a tip). The "labels" are Necco wafers. The red star cakes are baked in the mini-star tins and decorated w/red BC & sugar silver bebes.

3D Bookworm Cake
I made this cake for our daughter's 2nd birthday. I've never taken on a big and elaborate cake. It's a lemon cake w/lemon buttercream frosting. The "leather" of the books is white fondant that I painted with gel food color mixed w/water to give it the mottled look. The worm is made from rice crispies treat, wrapped with colored fondant. The letters are also colored fondant. I definitely wish somethings turned out a bit better, but overall I'm happy. Most importantly, our DD loved it and yelled, "CAKE!" :-D
