Princesses & Knight Celebrate With Dragon
My daughter's 7th birthday cake. She shared her party with a 'real' boy, and this was what I came up with to please them both! Everything's edible, cupcakes in the princess skirts, and half round cakes in the dragon and his shells. Design ideas taken from 3 different Debbie Brown cakes

Christening Cake
My first Christening cake, to be delivered tomorrow :) Too many mistakes to mention, and you can tell I didn't have an overall plan, also hoping it'll feed the 50 people it's supposed to... Top tier yellow cake with lemon filling, bottom tier yellow cake with white choclate and rum filling (both filling recipes from here - many thanks!) I am pleased with the figures, and following the many script writing tips I found here, the inscription is readable (thank you again!!)

Cake Nightmare!
I could weep! My first topsy-turvy cake, and instead of sculpting the cake to only appear wonky, I went with other method of just hoping the supports, supported. All was fine until I had to transport it, but then it fell apart, literally. Only the top tier survived looking anything like the photo, the rest was a gooey mess. Still tasted good, and thankfully it was for my daughter's birthday. Shows I've still got lots to learn, even if I can make a cake look pretty!!

Ariel Slab Cake
This was my first picture cake, and regardless of all the tips here, I had a heck of a job removing the picture from the backing. Never mind, all's well that ends well, and I think it turned out okay. The shells are sugarpaste, made with a mold, and I got the 'ocean' effect by using two shades of blue and not mixing the fondant fully.

Jamie - A Birthday Cake For A Romantic Fiction Fan
I'm uploading my favourite cake first! I made this for a friend's 40th, and as she's a romantic fiction fan, I gave her her very own Highlander. I took apart an Action Man and made a mold, then studied real highland kilts. The claymore sword is a letter opener (and a keepsake for her) and the bottle is the candle.
