Wizard Of Oz Cake
I made this for my friend's daughter's birthday. Chocolate cake with oreo filling, buttercream icing. Flowers are RI done in advance to dry. Road and rainbow are fondant, it cracked though and I had to "glue" it to cardboard with RI. I was very disappointed since I like my cakes to be 100% edible, oh well. The shoes are red chocolate with red sanding sugar. Thanks to many CCer's for inspiration. TFL!
Patriots Helmet Cake
I made this last summer for my husband's 30th birthday. Thank you so much to ladyonzlake for all of her help (sorry it's taken so long to post). It was very stressful but a lot of fun to make. WASC with chocolate buttercream. Board and cake covered in fondant, all decorations are painted fondant. He and his friends are all big Pats fans and they loved it! TFL!
I made this for my friend's daughters 3rd birthday. Just the Wilton Castle kit. I made the flowers in advance using RI instead of fondant though. TFL!
1St Birthday Giraffe Cake
I made this for my good friend's son. It was made to match the invitation. Chocolate cake with oreo filling. Iced in butter cream with fondant circles and RI giraffe and lettering. TFL!
Bushel Of Crabs
I made this cake for my SIL's mother's 50th birthday party. They were having a crab feast. It is WASC with chocolate buttercream, basket is fondant/gumpaste mix and crabs are cookies decorated with Antoniz74's RI. It was a big hit and I was really happy it turned out well because I decorated it while 1 1/2 months pregnant dealing with severe morning sickness, lol!
Plaid 1St Birthday Cake
This was my first paid cake! I made the cake to look like the birthday boy's invitation. I was so happy with how it turned out. It took a lot of time to roll out and cut all the fondant, but it was worth it in the end.
Circus Cake 1
This is the front of the cake for my daughters 2nd birthday. Other sides of cake are in my folder. I had so much fun doing this cake. Thanks to sugar creations for the idea and to mccorda for instructions on making the popcorn.
My daughters 2nd birthday was yesterday, we had a bit circus party. I had a lot of fun doing this cake and am very happy with how it turned out. It took a very long time but it was worth it. I will post pics of the other sides (other animals) in my folder. Thanks to sugar creations for the design idea and to mccorda for instructions on making popcorn.
Thanksgiving Placecard Cookies
I made these cookies to use as placecards for Thanksgiving dinner. I will be bringing them to my parents to celebrate the holiday with DH, DD, siblings and grandparents. I really enjoyed making them. It is easy to make cookies when they're all one design. TFL! I almost forgot, they are pumpkin spice cookies with Antonia74 RI with maple flavor added.
I made this cake for a friend's son who was baptized last weekend. It is a Wilton design although I cut the cross from a sheet cake so it would serve enough people. Please leave tips for improvement, I am getting better with each cake but need tips when I can get them. TFL.
Course 3 Final Cake
This was my final cake for course 3. I am pretty satisfied with it. It shifted a little bit in the car and I had problems with crumbs on the top cake. It was so much fun to do, I can't wait to do my next one for my daughters birthday! TFL.
I made these cookies for 2 halloween parties for my daughter. They are NFSC with royal icing. I love them, although they took a lot of time. I haven't done cookies with this many colors and details yet, I had a l ot of fun. Thanks to luvbakin for ideas on how to decorate. TFL!
This is my first cake for course 3. Unforunately I put it in the cake saver and the bow went limp, my husband took pics and cut it before I could fix it and let it dry again. I am happy with the cake overall.
This was my course 2 cake. Unforunately, I wasn't paying attention when I put the flowers on and decorated the back of the cake, where the weave wasn't as good. Live and learn I guess, won't do that again. TFL
This was my first try at a FBCT. I'm not completely happy with how it turned out. The BC isn't smoooth enough, and I thought it was until it was too late. It matches a first birthday party theme my friend used for her son. TFL!
These are the cookies I made for my sil's bachelorette party this weekend. Thanks again to CC for great recipes and ideas.
Course 1-Cake 3
This was my last cake for Course 1. I am happy with how it turned out (after a lot of trouble with the roses). Can't wait for course 2 next week!!
These were my first decorated cookies. They are a cream cheese sugar cookie with Antonia74 icing (raspberry oil added to pink). They were a trial run for my sil's bachelorette party this weekend. Made the flowers just for fun. I took them to a scrapbooking party and the girls thought the bra and panties were hysterical. Thanks to CC for great tips and ideas, especially dandy207 for the bra and panty inspiration. TFL.
