Lady Gaga Cake
I made this cake for two friends for their joint birthday party. The cake was vanilla w/blueberries, and the inspiration came from three of her most famous outfits - Paparazzi (the bottom tier), her MTV VMAs performance (middle tier) and Telephone (top tier and cigarette sunglasses on top). Monarch Butterfly Cake & Cupcakes
This is a cake and some of the cupcakes I made for a bride's wedding that had a Monarch butterfly theme. I used gelatin to make the wings of the butterflies, and then black fondant for the bodies. While desperately searching for a way to make realistic butterflies I came across a tutorial here, on Cake Central, that taught me all about making gelatin butterflies and flowers, and this is my first attempt at butterflies. Thank you so much Cake Central (and all the commenters with their helpful tips!)

New Moon Howling Wolf
I made this cake for a good friend of mine for her birthday over the summer. In honor of Stephenie Meyer's New Moon and Chris Weitz' vision I made a cake with a stylized, tribal wolf on it, in warm golds and browns. The wolf is howling at a gold moon. The cake was cinnamon with chocolate buttercream. Thanks for looking!

Sasquatch Cake
Cake made for a friend, the Sasquatch or Bigfoot is made to look like a tattoo of his. All fondant, including people, fire and Sasquatch. First attempt at fondant people. They are supposed to be camping in the woods when the evil Sasquatch tattoo comes out and scares them, haha. Cinnamon cake with Buttercream.

No. 5 Cake
This is a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting inspired by a Charles Demuth painting. Used a FBCT, second time ever. The couple I made this for was celebrating their five year anniversary, the woman runs an art gallery so this seemed appropriate. Unfortunately cream cheese frosting was giving me major problems so I feel like the part around the FBCT looks really awful but oh well! Live and learn I guess!

Darth Vader
This is a Darth Vader I made for a friend who works for Starbucks(as an exec)...hence the white, green and black color scheme. I've made cakes using this cakepan before and have been using different color schemes cause Black and Grey get boring. Does anyone have any recommendations for good food dye? I used gel, some brand I dont remember, but after everyone had eaten they all had black and green tongues and fingers. I dont want that happening again! Thanks!
