fondant covered, for my volleyball team tonight!!
I saw this on this site and have been dying to do it!! Finally, today was the day!! So whoever else has posted this cake thanks for the idea!! The babies and peapods are all fondant. I used a heart cookie cutter for the "pod" and it worked great...perfect time saver!
got this idea from others here....I think it came out really well!
the cake was a pound cake that i craved a little bit. i think i should have made it a little slimmer but my first craving and i was nervous about it! the wings are made of gumpaste and everything else is fondant.
I did this for a friend of mine. Her husband is a private pilot. She sent me a very fuzzy picture of his plane to go off of but I think it came out well for having never done a plane berfore!

this is my first attempt at sculpting anything! I had alot of fun doing it. there is a hand crawling out of the door, two hiding ghosts, 2 graves, cauldron with slime and witch hat, evil frog pond with body parts floating, mouse eating moldy cheese, tree stump with ax, head, and bloody knife....doormat that says go away, spider crawling on top of the house...all fondant. the house is poundcake with buttercream.
I did these for a friends bridal shower. All run sugar.
make for a birthday party, I was going to make her cake too but she choose to go with Jewel instead...grrrrr!

made this for a friends daughters first birthday. i had a heck of a time with frosting the cake today (but I saw the post about using a small foam paint roller to make the frosting smooth, I am trying this on my next cake for sure!!)
I was supposed to put sugar run fire dancers on these too.....humidity killed them as well. So I had to free hand these too. I was so nervous, but again, the woman loved them! *fire dancer is the dave matthews logo*
This was not my orginal idea when I first planned these...the humidity KILLED my 4 inch bright pink fire dancer that was supposed to be standing in the cupcakes. I had to give in and try to free hand the dancer on fondant, luckily the woman loved them. (the fire dancer id the dave matthews band logo)
i DID THIS CAKE TODAY FOR A LITTLE GIRLS BIRTHDAY. I THINK IT CAME OUT PRETT CUTE!
very simple cupcakes for a freinds birthday. i really like how the M's came out.
clearly not the best cake i ever made. i couldnt sleep last night and this is the result....i play volleyball for a team called twisted turtles. i did the turtles in run sugar same with the v-ball and the letters. I really like how the letters turned out! next time i cant sleep should watch a late night dr. phil re-run!
