Bob The Builder
I found this cute construction birthday set. I knew that I wouldn't have alot of time to decorate this cake so needed to keep the cake itself simple. I baked two layers of 8" square butter recipe mix. Frosted with chocolate fluffy frosting mix (2 batches). Sliced a ramp from the top part and laid it onto the bottom side for the complete ramp. Printed out the banner which I'll use in my scrapbook later. Set up the things like they were working on the site. My grandson had a blast! He ate with the toys. :)

Thomas And Friends Cake
I did the train faces in the tunnels all in fondant, along with the tracks on top and the Happy Birthday. I baked 3 12" pans of cake. This cake was a little over 6" tall. The cake had to be large to accommodate the flashlight Thomas toy. Each of the train faces with the tunnels took me about 40 minutes to do. I only did 4. There are none on the back side.

Tuxedo Cake
Bride picked out design (online) but wanted it to be surprise for the wedding. Inside it was butter recipe cake with strawberry whipped cream filling inbetween the four layers, then frosted with buttercream then black fondant. Everyone loved the cake itself but the fondant was strange to many people. Not a piece of this cake was left. The bride had put the groom running away with the bride grabbing his collar topper on it. I should have gotten a picture of it all together but I got busy in the kitchen.

Black With White Bow
I did this to test techniques and recipes. Groom approved it. Bride picked out design but wanted it to be surprise for the wedding. So I did this design for the test cake. Inside it was butter recipe cake with strawberry whipped cream filling inbetween the 4 layers, then frosted with buttercream then layered with fondant. I had black die all over my hands and clothes from this. lol White fondant for the ribbon. Everyone loved the cake itself but the fondant was strange to many people.

Blue's Clues Cake
I only used a #2 piping tip to do the wording and the little paw prints. To make the large paw print on top, I drew it out with a toothpick and then used a spatula to spread the blue icing in the circles. This cake was frosted with Whipping Cream Icing. I kept it very simple since it was for a boy.
