First time working with fondant. Still need a whole lot more practice.

Easter cake made for family. Vanilla bunny, chocolate sheet. All buttercream. Left it out in the sun too long and the colors started to fade, but everyone liked it anyway!
This was a full FBCT. I went to go take it out of the freezer and apparently it wasn't ready and it broke in 3 places. Tried to repair it as much as possible. The kid was THRILLED with it. This was also my first paid cake (even though it was only a family member paying for it, but hey that still counts). All in all I'd have to say not too bad considering I had to have the cake ready in 5 hours!
This is only my second FBCT. Did a few things differently thanks to the advice and help of TexasSugar (THANK YOU SO MUCH!!). I'm not 100% pleased with this, but I'm sure I'm just being my own worst critic. This is a vanilla cake, all BC icing for two interns at my work going back to college. It's kind of difficult to read but it says one of Stewie's favorite phrases "Damn You and Such".
This was my first time doing a FBCT. I learned to never again use piping gel for the outline, definately need regular icing. This was also my first time using the chocolate BC. I think it came out okay.
I made this for my brother who came to visit me in MA for the first time since I moved away from home. He loves Marvin and Loved the cake!! This is only my second shape cake and I know I've got more practice to go, but I don't think it's too bad. Need to work on the smoothing of the icing in certain spots though.

This was the second decorated cake I did while in my class. Very simple but very cute to me.
My 11 step-daughter wanted to decorate a cake while I practiced for class. I gave her a couple of bags, told her how to change the tips on the couplers, and set her loose. She has a creative brain and thinks every once of cake should be covered in icing. I promised I'd put it up here for all to see. You can't really tell, but she did get some of the techniques down pat.
This was my final cake. I didn't take my time and rushed through the dots, and didn't put on a border. I couldn't get the roses down, so there's only 4 of them. And 2 of them weren't done by me! :)
Just a set of quick cupcakes to take to a block party. They were gone within 30 minutes. (all 2 dozen of them!). The big ego boost? Well, someone had brought 3 dozen of the store bought kind and no one had touched a single one of them!! Yet all of mine were gone!!! WOOHOO! :)
This was a cake I made for my step-daughter. It was my first cake since taking the wilton course I class as well as my first shaped cake ever. It's a chocolate cake w/ BC icing. Couldn't get all the crumbs covered, but will work on that technique. I also don't think the numbers on the door look like an "11" kind of looks odd. Still new to this, but don't think it's a total shamble :)
