50th Anniversary Cake
Alice in Wonderland Teacups cake. Gumpaste flowers, teacup, candles, plates, Edible images. MMF covered tiers w/ royal icing/luster dust decoration. Client showed me a picture of Christine Pereira's cake on Flickr and asked me to recreate it. This is my somewhat less skilled attempt.

This cake was for a 1st birthday. This cake is covered with MMF with MMF and buttercream accents. The owl is RKT with MMF/gumpaste accents.
This cake was for a 1st Birthday and Baptism. Crown is gumpaste/MMF sprayed gold and with inedible jewel accents (at the request of the customer). Cake is covered with MMF.

These are vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting. The butterflies are made of both dark and white chocolate.
70th birthday cake for my father-in-law. Vanilla cake w/ strawberry filling covered with mmf. Cactus, sombrero, rocks and sign all MMF. Cowboy boot was candy melts and flag was on edible rice paper. My husband decided to add a real bottle of tequila at the last minute. The space in front of the sombrero was reserved for the '70' candle. Inspired by sombrero cake by SweetHope.
This is a dark chocolate Guinness cake covered with cream cheese frosting and MMF. Inspired by carrot cakes by juleebug & tripletmom.
This was a birthday cake for my nephew. The bottom tier (sun) was a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. The top tier was vanilla/strawberry cake covered with MMF. The rocketship was rice cereal treat covered with MMF. The 8 planets were covered with MMF as well. Inspired by SusD's outer space cake.
This is a chocolate cake covered with MMF. The decoration on top of the cake is royal icing transfer (RIT) as are the gravestones. The fence and pumpkin vines are made from candy melts. All other decorations are MMF, including Zero the dog, with the exception of the pumpkins which I bought. I was planing to add more detail (clouds across the moon, something at the base of the moon to fill the little gap between it and the cake, etc.) but was coming down with the flu and had to stop.
