Velveteen Rabbit Baby Shower Cake
I made this one for my sister's friend's baby shower. The quote is from The Velveteen Rabbit and the bunny is my attempt to copy a stuffed animal that is in her nursery. The cake is strawberry with butter cream filling, covered in fondant with gum paste decorations. Thanks for checking it out!
This is a gum paste replica of a child's stuffed animal. I did this for a baby shower cake and used the baby's first toy as the model.
Such A Great Height Cake
This is my entry for this year's Threadcakes competition on www.threadless.com. It is based on the t shirt design "Such a Great Height". Thanks for checking it out!
Dale's Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my mom's ballroom dancing partner. It is meant to look like a crazy dance diagram. The two dogs are his two labs: Nellie and Bear. The bottom tier is double chocolate, the top is yellow cake with bc. I covered the cake in chocolate fondant and did the decorations in 50/50 gum paste and fondant. Thanks for taking a look!
Baby Girl Bear Cake
My first attempt at gumpaste modeling on the bear. The cake is pink velvet with buttercream filling and fondant. Thanks for checking it out!
Valentine's Wedding Cake
Fondant covered cake with pink silk ribbon, 50/50 pearls, brush embroidery, and gumpaste flowers. I learned the rose technique from Nicholas Lodge but had to guess about the stephanotis. Thanks for looking!
First Wedding Cake
Three tiers - 10", 8", and 6". Pound cake with whipped cream and strawberry filling, buttercream icing. Thanks to everyone who answered my many questions. This was pretty stressful!
Pink And Brown With Roses
All MMF. This is a pre-Rigsby photo. The dog took out that bottom cluster of roses soon after this picture was taken. Mom and I thought it looked a bit plain when we finished with it. It needs more roses and maybe another element. We just ran out of time...
