Spiderman Sheet With Edible Image
This is the image that was used to make my friend's son's birthday party invitations. It was a double layer 9x13, chocolate cake with vanilla cream filling.
Spiderman Cupcake Cake
This was my first time making a cupcake cake. Thanks to all the CC'ers who helped me figure it out! Thanks to Pumpkinroses, I used her original as my inspiration. The Spiderman image is a FBCT.
8-inch square on bottom, 6-inch top, marble cake w/ strawberry mousse filling (go figure?!). Customer supplied her kid's toys for the toppers... All BC cake w/ FBCT on top.
Barney & Friends - Bj Smash Cake
10 inch bottom tier, 6 inch top, 4 inch smash. The cake started to lien en route to customer's! I made an emergency pit stop at a local cake decorating store. The lady was so nice - she had me bring in the cake and helped me fix it. I learned a big lesson! I didn't space out my dowels enough I guess... Anyway, the customer loved it. The smash cake is BC with fondant and CT details. The main cake is BC with CT details. :)
This was an 8-inch yellow cake with caramel BC. Thanks to Indydebi for her little picture tutorial on frosting squares - it really helped me! This is a cake for my uncle's 84th birthday. He lives in a retirement home and his favorite things are sitting in his rocking chair and playing Bingo!
Sporty Sheet Cake
This is a chocolate sheet cake iced with chocolate whipped cream - decorated with fondant ballet slippers and fondant soccer ball. The High School Musical picture is not edible. Royal icing roses.
Baby Girl Baptism
The customer wanted mostly white with just a little bit of light purple. This was a vanilla cake with raspberry cream filling. Got the instructions for the booties from a fellow CC'er and got most of the inspiration for the cake from another bakery's website!! haha The cross was purchased and is made of sugar. Fondant booties. Purchased satin ribbon.
1St Birthday - For A Girl!
This was the first birthday cake (last minute order) to go with the smash cake w/ toy balloons. Iced with stabilized whipped cream (so yummy!), chocolate cake, 8-inch round. Customer purchased toy toppers....
Smash Cake - Little Girl
This was a last minute order for a smash cake and 8-inch b-day cake. Due same day as my daughter's first birthday party! I didn't want to do it, but the customer convinced me. She brought in the toy toppers. I made it simple, but I think it was still pretty cute!
Princess Doll Smash Cake
This was Lydia's smash cake to go with the castle cake. I just used the mini wonder mold and a baby Barbie doll.
Princess Oval-Castle Cake
This was supposed to look like the cake out of Wilton's Yearbook for 2007, but I ran out of time so instead of the white chocolate castle standing upright, I laid it down on top of the cake. It was for my daughter's first birthday. We put her picture in the doorway - but I erased it for CC purposes. It was a BC iced chocolate covered strawberry mousse cake! It got lots of rave reviews, but I didn't get a chance to eat any!
Easter Basket Of Flowers
This was my first time making royal icing daisies (made them at my cake decorating class) and first time making a rope border. Also, it was my first time piping a lamb! He's a little on the fat side!!! haha This cake smelled so good. It was yellow cake with raspberry cream filling. My customer loved it!
Lightening Mcqueen - Wilton
This is the Lightening McQueen Wilton pan cake. It was a PAIN in the butt to make. A lot of colors to mix and the imprint in the cake didn't really imprint, so I had to sort of guess where the details were supposed to go. I am hoping they love it, though! It is vanilla cake with strawberry mousse filling.
Jerry Lee Lewis - Great Balls Of Fire!
This was a 9x13 sheet cake covered with fondant. The flames are royal icing. The figure was a 50/50 gumpaste and fondant mix. It was a German Chocolate Cake underneath, which was extremely soft, but luckily it held up fine during the party!
I made these using the NFSC and Antonia's royal icing recipes and gave them as samples for a local specialty foods store. I put them in cellophane bags tied with a green ribbon and put Easter grass inside the bag. They looked pretty cute!
High School Musical On Ice
10-inch round, white cake with chocolate whipped cream filling. Most of it is decorated with butter cream or royal icing. Sugar cookie ice skates. The microphone is fondant. Gumpaste stars. I would have really liked how this turned out more if I had left the red stripe off underneath the edible image! :( Thanks to Antonia74 for the inspiration for the cookie skates. Thanks to many CC'ers for ideas!
Thomas The Train Smash Cake
This was the smash cake that went with the sheet cake. 4 inch round. BC and chocolate transfers.
Thomas The Train Sheet Cake
This was a 9x13 sheet cake, chocolate cake with vanilla cream filling and butter cream icing. Made for a friend's son's 1st birthday party. The train and track were little wind up toys that spun around in a circle. The flowers were royal icing.
Mary's 40Th Birthday
These are to be party favors for my friend's surprise 40th birthday. They are so "Mary". I hope she likes them! NFSC w/ Antonia's r.i.
Super Bowl Cookies
These were NFSC iced with Antonia's royal icing. Logos are CTs. Done for a neighbor as a thank you for plowing our snow!
Super Bowl Sheet Cake
This was done for my husband's super bowl party. 9x13 sheet cakes filled with chocolate cream. NFSC recipe used for helmets. CT logos. Rings are plastic.
This is a gymnastics cake - 9x13 sheet styrofoam dummy on bottom. Top was the Wilton ribbon altered a little. Choc cake with choc whipped cream filling. First time making fondant figures.
Painter's Palette Cupcakes
These were done for a paint your own pottery business. The logo is a chocolate transfer. The paintbrush is black shoestring licorice. I got the idea from Wilton.
