An umbrella cake -- baked in the 18" half round pan. Cutouts on the board were just fondant cut with a cookie cutter to give me a place to write :-)
I'm not normally a fan of sheet cakes, but this one I really was happy with. The baby was seriously a ton of fun to make with his little maracas and sombrero.

A tiered Spiderman City cake inspired by CC artist shelleylynn -- Tiers covered with MMF, buildings are glazed sugar cookies. Black details were mostly done with Foodwriter pen.
Loved making all the flowers, bummed to see they aren't teaching many of these in the 'new' courses.
My first opportunity to use the Hex pans... smallest two Hex on top of a 10in round. Topper was modeled with MMF. Thanks for looking.
From the Wilton '09 Yearbook... my princess wanted it just like on the cover, so I didn't get to take any creative liberties with it. She absolutely loved it :-)
9in contour pan, covered in MMF with MMF cutout daisys... a fairly simple design that got a lot of compliments at the church dinner I took it to.
Belly and Top are shaped with rice cereal treats. Cake iced in buttercream with MMF dress. The mini-roses are my favorite detail -- they are piped with that little bitty rose tip (whose number I forget)
For my son's 8th birthday we had a reptile demonstrator bring all kinds of creepy crawlies to the house. Well, one of the creepiest was the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake cake that he requested. I baked short (2-3in) bundt cakes and cut them to arrange in a snaking shape. The board was 5 feet long! Iced in buttercream and then details were painted on after it crusted. Even the fangs, tongue, etc were buttercream as I don't think I had any fondant made up at the time :-) Enjoy!
Four tier wedding cake - 18, 14, 10, 6. WASC cake with Buttercream. Daisies are made from gumpaste and dots were piped with royal icing and dried before placing on cake.
This is a very special cake that I got to create for some friends who just got home with their new daughter. 10" round with the fluted bowl separator and a 6" top. All Chocolate with Cookies n Creme filling. The Russian doll on top was made from the wilton mini-bear pan. Covered in MMF with Fondant roses/calalilys. It was a ton of fun!
This is my final cake for course 1. I learned a trick to get rid of the "noses" on all my dots, but the cake was already gone! Enjoy.
This week we learned drop flowers and figure piping. I made a drop flower cake with tip 2D.
This was my Wilton Course 1 cake from the second week when we learened stars. A fun use of the cookie cutter as a pattern.
Mr Bear is my son's special friend that he got from the firefighters when he had an accident and lost his eye. Each year, we celebrate and this is his cake!
This was a fun one! My first 'paid' order. I'd only finished the first Wilton Course so I'm proud of how it turned out. The path is made from graham crackers and brown sugar. The water is blue piping gel and the trees are Fondant on pretzel sticks.
This was my first attempt at a FBCT. It turned out OK. The cake is an ice cream cake made in the Betty Crocker Bake N Fill pan -- so I had to work quick!
