Rocky Horror Lips Cake
This is for a 17 yr old having a Rocky Horror Picture Show themed Halloween/Birthday party. I used a 12" round and cut it in half and stacked it. Then I just did a little carving to make the shape. It is white cake w/BC under the fondant. I learned a few things so that's always a plus.

1St Birthday Princess Cake
This is a 1st birthday cake for a friend's little girl. Her mom wanted a princess theme so this is what I came up with. I was going to make a white chocolate tiara, but the white chocolate wouldn't cooperate. I just used fondant to make a crown. Both cakes are french vanilla with a white chocolate cappucino filling. The pink layers are BC, and the white is fondant. Everyone loved it!

Purple Butterfly Wedding Cake
I made this for a friend whose theme was butterflies and the color was purple. The cake was a little more purple than I intended, but they loved it so that's what matters. I made wafer paper butterflies and attached them to wires. My new Kitchen Aid broke down in the middle of this cake. It was very frustrating. The accents are purple fondant painted w/petal dust. They had their own topper.

Footprint Baby Shower
This was the cake from hell. I iced the whole thing in BC but hated it so I went out and got fondant to cover it. The fondant didn't want to go on smoothly around the bottom, but all in all, it was okay. Everyone at the shower loved it. The bottom tier was chocolate w/Godiva liquor filling, and the top was white chocolate w/white chocolate filling. I hand painted the footprints w/Pearl Dust. There were 4 plaques in all around the bottom tier. There's also a sleeping baby ladybug on the top.

Armadillo Cake
This is a cake I made for the Relay for Life Silent Auction. The theme is walking across Texas, and our team is the Roadkill Cafe. We thought this would be an awesome donation for the auction. It's red velvet cake and BC icing covered in fondant. I used the Wilton ColorMist in black to spray the color on, It was so much fun to make.

Spongebob Cake
This is my first stacked cake. It was a challenge. It was also my first layered/torted cake. Bottom tier is chocolate w/BC filling. Middle tier is white cake w/BC filling. The top tier and the pineapple are krispie treats. All iced in BC. The characters are royal icing transfers. I had lots of problems w/this one, but it was a learning experience. All of the kids at my son's b-day party loved it. One of the mom's even said she would call for her next party

Mmf Snowman
This is my 6 yr old son's first foray into fondant. He made the MMF himself, well mostly. This snowman is only about 2 1/2 inches tall. The thing on top of it's head is a baby snowman. Originally, it had a tiny nose. I have no idea how he got the detail on it. The big snowman even has on a top hat like Frosty. It's behind the baby snowman. :D I am very proud!!

Hot Wheels Nascar Cake
This is my first paid cake!!! Woo Hoo!! The mom said the child wanted a "NASCAR Hot Wheels" cake so this is what I did. The track and tires are MMF. Everything else is BC. I used piping gel to transfer the image in the middle. I had never worked w/a piece of MMF that big before, and it stretched some when I moved it. I figure it just gives the asphalt a more authentic look...lol. The mom is going to put cars on it when she gets it home.

Putt-Putt Cake
I made this for the school where my son went to Kindergarten last year. They have an annual miniature golf tournament fundraiser. I'm donating it as a door prize. I just realized I forgot to put on the black dots for the holes. It's BC w/MMF accents and piping gel for the water. The big rock is made out of krispie treats. The bridge, I got at a cake supply. This is actually my first full-size cake (9X13)!!!

My Attempt At Spongebob Cookies
Wow! These are bad, but it was my first try. It is so much easier to draw a Spongebob face on paper. I was considering doing these for favors for my son's upcoming b-day. I just don't know now. I guess if I practice them a few more times first, they would get better. My son loves them though. That's really all that matters. Maybe I'll get some food color markers.

My Son's First Cookies
This is my 6 yr old son's first attempt at decorating cookies. He really liked mixing the colors together once they were on the cookie. It's abstract art!! He's into drawing monsters lately so a couple of them are monster faces w/lots of eyes and mouths...lol. One is a soccer ball.
