We celebrated his birthday and my sister in law's birthday saturday night because he was leaving to go hunting Sunday morning. The antlers are gumpaste.

A co-worker asked me to make a cake for her father-in-law's birthday. The only thing she said was that he really likes moose hunting. I found a great moose silhouette, but I forgot to reverse it before putting it on the cake. This is a 8'' carrot cake with crusting cream cheese icing. I used the Viva method for the first time on this cake and it worked really well.
I wanted to try a pumpkin cake this Thanksgiving to bring to my BF's family dinner. I baked two Pumpkin Spice Bunt Cakes and stacked them together. The whole thing was iced in Crusting cream cheese icing then spray painted orange (Wilton spray colors).
This is a 10'' French Vanilla cake with Kit Kat filling and a 6'' Chocolate cake with Peanut Butter Cup filling. Last minute I decided to scrape off the icing on top (the writting and stuff) and cover it with sprinkles.

Nemo's face cracked (I dropped it on the counter), so I tried to fix it... It didn't work so well and now he looks stupid :) Oh well, I just have to keep practising!
Here is a picture of my first FBCT. I made it a little too thick and my icing wasn't thin enough, the gaps didn't fill in completely. I can't wait to try again!
