following Mikes dvd instructions this is my attempt at this car cake for a groom. made using 2 12x18 cakes cut in half length wise and carved. covered in black satin ice, that dried too quickly, and hand painted all the silver parts. Brushed oil on it at the end to give it a shine otherwise the black was very dull.

Not Quite A Turkey More A Chicken!!
So this is my trial run before i do my demo at cake club tonight. I did this last night and timed myself since i wont have long at the meeting. it took 50 min total and that included cleaning up, so im happy. Its more the size of a chicken but the effect is the same. I used a 6" round and a piece of a sheet cake about 5" x 8" and a couple of cupcakes and 2 wafer ice cream cones. the BC is tinted as i didn;t want to use my airbrush as not everyone has one. tell me what you think, does it pass?? i posted 28 step by step pictures here - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cakemate/photos/album/661249737/pic/list
