Nature's Golf Course
My son loves golf and wanted a golf themed cake for his 6th birthday. My first attempt. So, next time I will know what to do differently. But, I used gelatin gel I made and colored it blue for the water. I used fondant for the pebbles/rocks. One of the trees is an ice cream cone covered in a crusting buttercream. Not shown, I made a small golf ball out of fondant and placed it by the hole. The sand pit is made of graham crackers.

I Am Head Over Hills For Bananas
I got the idea from a similar cake on this website. I used a Wilton ball pan for the head and a sheet cake for it to sit on. I used fondant and buttercream frosting. The bananas were not hard at all, just shape the fondant in a banana form and brush lightly with brown coloring.

Pirate Ship Or Sailor
For the cake, I baked two 8-9 inch round cakes. Then after they were cooled, I sliced both in half. I frosted all four together, with the flat-side up. I purchased malt balls for canons and Rolo's for the side of the cake. For the top of the cake you can purchase the Pepperidge Farm long spiral cookies, but I had to improvise and just use a straight line of frosting around the top of the cake. Using wood dowels I placed whilte paper on each and write your birthday message.

Mike And Sully Of Monster's Inc.
The base is a sheet cake frosted in blue and purple with cake tip for gre grass. I just used a loaf pan and cut and shaped Mike. I then frosted him with buttercream frosting and then placed green fondant icing on top. It turned out cute. Not perfect, but it was my first time using fondant. I used lifesaver candy for the eyes, just because I could not find anything else to use.
