Buttercream with fondant accents
This is a 1/2 sheet I cut in shape of cross for my godsons batism. it is yellow butter cake with hi-ratio shortening frosting. I took the concept from looking at alot of the other cakes i saw here and i just made a few changes. It was a big hit.
This is a half sheet on bottom and quarter sheet on top. I cut the corners on the quarter sheet and used them on top to make a deck and give it the shape of a ship. I cut sails out of construcion paper and burned the edges i used twix as canons and whoppers as canon balls. The pirate toys i bought at the 99cent only store. My son was so happy his face lite up when he saw it.
