I made this for my husband's birthday. He collects dragons and is a huge Detroit Tigers fan. Everything is edible - carved the cake and convered with fondant. Spikes are fondant too.
I made this cake to celebrate my mother's birthday. We live in different parts of the US and met up this past weekend in Minnesota, hence the moose theme (also, Mama loves moose!). Everything is edible except for the moose. The lake and rocks are white chocolate painted with edible paint.
I made this for our friend who just learned he passed his comprehensive exams. He is one step away from earning his PhD in literature now. The cover is modeling chocolate and the letters along the side spell out our friend's last name. I titled the book "A Big Day" because it was a big day! But also because of the dual meaning with A.B.D. ("all but dissertation" status towards PhD).
