This was for my middle daughter's 21st Birthday. She requested peacock feathers with teal & lime green tiers. She loved the cake & I loved the peacock colored disco dust!
Everything is fondant except the malted milk eggs, handle is Twizzlers, bows are gumpaste. I had a chocolate bunny to use, but realized he was solid and wouldn't stand up too well. I did one like this a couple of years ago and had forgotten how much fun it was!
Sock Monkey Cake
This was my first attempt at a sock monkey. I did this one for my son's girlfriend's b'day. She collects sock monkeys.
Cheer Soccer Birthday
This was a last minute rush job. The cheerleader could have been better if I had more time.
Western Baby Shower
Made this for a cowboy themed baby shower, lots of inspriration from other CC cakes.
Rush job, 2 sick kids this week, so I didn't get to spend as much time on it as I would have liked.
Covered in MMF and roses are MMF. Letters, number, bow are gum paste. This was my first attempt to use gum paste, looking back I would have changed a few things, but it was a learning experience. For some reason the smash cake looks like it's wrinkled in the picture, I guess it was the flash reflection off the foil.
Baby Shower Onesie Cake
This is a cake I did for my daughter's baby shower. My first grandchild due next month. (can't wait!!) Nursery theme is ducks.
Twin Girls Sweet 16 Birthday
This was for twin girls Sweet 16th Birthday. 11x15, yellow cake/choc frosting/choc fondant
Done for the cake walk for church Fall Fest. Two Bundt pans, butter cake/choc frosting/MMF. This one was fun!
This was made for my DD's class party. I used the Wilton GB House kit, but she didn't want the cutesy decor, so I covered it in chocolate fondant and made it spooky. The cake is chocolate w/oreo dirt. All decor is fondant.
Barbie Doll Cake
My first doll cake. There are some things I would have done differently, but I did learn from this one.
