Drum Set

This was for a friend of my sister in law. Front drum is 10" dummy, iced on sides with buttercream, and front is chocolate. Top cakes are 6" 2-layers, lower left is 6" 3-layer, top right is 6" 1-layer. Buttercream iced and airbrushed with luster dust. Silver bands are ribbon, detail is buttercream. Stand is wood and PVC pipe, and dowels. Sprayed silver. Cymbals are poster board sprayed gold.

Barbie Cake

My first cake "painting" using Americolors and thinned piping gel. I was very pleased wit this. I got the design from another CC cake pic and copied it, but mine was on a sheet, not round and just the Barbie was fondant, the rest BC and airbrushed

Bratz Cake - Cloe

This is another fondant painting I have done. I airbrished the background like a leopard print and used grass tip 233 for the fuzzy border. The doll and logo are cut out of fondant and painted.

Trendy Shower Cake

The inspiration for this is from an invitation. The original was a scrapbook style invite. I cut all the diamonds out of MMF and also the top sheet and ribbon. I scored the argyle stitching with the Wilton cutter/ embosser. The base is chocolate fudge buttercream.

Strawberry Shortcake Princess

This one is from an invitation. I used a 12" heart for her skirt and a 10" round for her head. I used MMF for the dress and gloves, buttercream for her face and hair and gum paste for the tiara. I drew the strawberries on the skirt with food markers.

Fairytale Unicorn Carousel Cake

This was my daughter's 1st birthday cake. Her theme was fairytale unicorns. I made this carousel because I wanted a good challenge. The bottom tiers are cake, the carousel top is styrofoam, fondant and royal icing, the unicorns are royal icing on dowels.
