This pull-apart "logo" cake was made for the public birthday party for the "Twinsikins", twin Clydesdale horses (twinclydes.com). It included 138 cupcakes in chocolate, yellow, and carrot with cream cheese frosting.

This was a cake display for a wedding at which the bride and groom wanted to showcase a figural cake topper/statuette they had as a keepsake--the "Elmer & Ellie Gettin' Hitched" horse figures. We made a big, grass covered hill of 12 layers of cake with buttercream. This was surrounded by 5 side cakes, 2 10" and 2 8" in buttercream with fondant "doilies" and silk sunflowers and a 6" iced to look like a round hay bale and feed bags. The groom made the stand with rustic split rail fencing and welded horseshoes
This six tier (16-14-12-10-8-6) is alternating tiers of banana and apple spice cake, frosted with a crusting cream cheese icing. The cakes were decorated with just random swirls using a spatula, then banded with 1 1/2 inch grosgrain ribbon and a strand of pearls. Thefloral topper of twigs and grasses was provided by the florist.
