Flower And Dots
8 inch white cake frosted with buttercream and decorated with teal and brown marshmallow fondant dots/circles and a large flower. This was the first fondant flower I completed. On my first try at making petals, the mmf was too soft - so for this one I added a little Gum-Tex to my mmf and that worked a lot better. This was based on a cake found in google images.

Snowboarder Down!
Made this cake for my nephew's birthday with my husband's help. Trees are made from chocolate piped onto skewers. The rocks, snowboard and man are made from rolled buttercream. The message on one side is supposed to look like someone threw snowballs to spell out happy birthday christopher.

Ghost
Made a white cake covered it in white buttercream. Indented the buttercream where the eyes, mouth and ripples belonged, then covered it with rolled buttercream and molded it into the indentations. I let it air dry for about a half an hour and then painted the indentations with black gel food color.

Mac N Cheese
Made this for July/August family birthdays. I also made a "pot of Chili" and a "cherry pie" I baked the cake in the casserole dish. When cool, I torted it and filled with buttercream. I tinted buttercream a pale yellow, spread a layer on top then piped the macaroni. I had some yellow rolled buttercream that I thinned and stretched out and layed over the macaroni to look like melted cheese. Took some brown food color and painted the baked-on crusty bits.

Rainbows And Sunshine
Made this cake for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday. 6 inch round white cakes colored with gel food colors. I also colored the buttercream between the layers to match. The sunshine rays, the rainbow and the cloud are all made out of rolled buttercream. Considering I didn't know what I was going to make when I got started, I like the way it came out!

My Daughter's Wedding Cake And Desserts
I made 11x17s for the base cake and 9x13s for the top tier. Her whole decorating theme used Queen Ann's Lace and a lime-ish green color. I also made the cream puffs for the croquembouche that is behind the wedding cake. I was only able to assemble the first 4 rows (with white chocolate) before I had to do M.O.B. stuff so my S.I.L. and niece stacked the rest. I also made the square grooms-cake beside the wedding cake. That is a cheesecake (I also made a 6in round cheesecake for them to take home and enjoy)

Wedding 2002
I did this for a co-worker's daughter. I used wine glasses as pillars and had pieces of plexiglass cut to be the base plates under the glasses. The florist had never used a stairway before and glued the flowers to the bottom instead of the top. :) Luckily nobody else knew any different.

Monster Truck
First time doing a cake like this and I got a late start on it too! I didn't even turn on the oven till 6pm the night before it was due and I had to be at work by 9am. Finished it a 4am so the flames on the sides are not very good. But everyone loved it. Strawberry cake with buttercream frosting. Made to look like my great-nephew's favorite toy truck. Fondant bumpers and rims brushed with silver dust. Tires made from Rice Krispie treats covered in Rolled Buttercream.

Granddaughter's 1St Birthday
I made this cake for my first granddaughter's 1st birthday. Her mom wanted something frilly (I was going to do Winnie the Pooh till she mentioned that) and this is what I came up with. Chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. Lacey points are made with violet candy melts.
