I made this for my daughter's 4th birthday. The cake is strawberry with buttercream. The characters are from flash cards I bought, and I cut them out and just placed them on the cake. She loved it!
I made this for my little brother's 6th birthday. regular vanilla boxed cake mix, buttercream frosting. The ship, tree & treasure chest is rice krisies molded and covered with fondant. It does not compare to the wonderful cakes made by others on CC, but I gave it my best shot. He loved it, and that's all that counts. Right? lol =D
I made this today for my daughter's first birthday. It's my first tiered cake, so it's a little messy looking but being my first time I'm rather pleased with the results. :)
I made this just for the fun of it in the spirit of summer. Hence the bright colors. :) It was fun to make, but my house is 98 degrees with no AC, so the frosting was melting just as fast as I was putting it on. It looks crooked because the frosting was sliding off. Good thing I got a pic when I did!!
