This is a cake I usually make at Easter. This particular one had a German chocolate cake as its base, but I have also made it with white or golden yellow cake mixes, using coloured coconut as the "grass". I put a variety of traditional Easter candy on top to complete.
This is a cake I have made for different religious events - confirmation, baptism, and other celebrations at our church. It is made with buttercream icing and the design piped on with either a #16 or #18 tip, depending on size of the cake. Got the idea from a cake in one of the old Wilton books.
