This cake was made for a party that was held at the Libby Lu store. The girls play dress-up and get sparkly makeovers.
I made this cake for a second time after a customer saw the first one I made. The first time, it was one of the first cakes I made, so it was really neat to see my improvement this time around.
Made to match the green and gingham cake. I have been making my smash cakes out of a small loaf pan. It's really easy and fast, and they look cute in pictures!

Hand sculpted MMF animals, MMF decorations. My husband had to help me design the barn because I wasn't sure what one looked like, lol. This was really fun to make. Again, I was inspired by another cake here on CC.
This was made to match the Hugs n Stitches partyware. I really enjoyed doing the detailed work on this one. Unfortunately, the mother said that it didn't really match the plate. I was looking at the plate when I was making the decorations, so I'm not really sure what she meant - maybe trying for a discount?
This was to match a new pattern that came out this year for 1st birthdays. It seems to be slowly replacing the hugs n stitches. It has a plane, train, and car with button wheels, and fun bright colors. I think cakes to match this pattern are going to be really fun! MMF buttons and decorations.
I made this cake with 3 leftover 6" cakes I had from the weekends orders. I had 2 chocolate cakes and one strawberry cake leftover. I put the strawberry in the middle of the 2 chocolate and filled with cream cheese filling. I iced it with Vanilla BC. It was SOOOO good!
This cake was made to go along with an Elmo themed party. The mother had an elmo cake topper to go on it. This was inspired by another Elmo cake I saw on CC.
With all the first birthdays I've been doing lately, I'm surprised that this is the first hugs n stitches one I've done. It was really time consuming to get all the many colors to match the napkins, but it was really fun to work with all the patterns and colors.
This was the biggest rush job I have ever done. The mother called at 3:00 to ask if she could pick the cake up at 6:00 that evening instead of the next afternoon! It turned out ok, but I was planning on a lot more detail. Still, she was very happy with it.
Each tier represents colors and patterns found on the party plates or in the movie. The mom didn't want the actual characters on the cake. I think it turned out looking very fun!
Thanks to boween and several others for the inspiration! "Body" is made from the mini wonder mold pan, two 8" hearts and two mini hearts for the wings.
