Retirement To Photography Hobby

Camera is made from cake and fondant with silver luster dusted accents. This was a retirement cake for a gentleman who planned to continue his hobby of photography. The cake was white and chocolate with buttercream basketweave and edible images of photos he had taken.

3-D House

A customer requested a replica of the house her parents built in 1950 for her father's 90th birthday. She furnished me with pictures of the house. It was a challenge. She cried when she picked the cake up. She did not expect it to look exactly like the house. Her parents cried when the cake was presented to them. She gave me a nice tip and sent a thank you card with pictures of her parents with the cake. Carrot cake with candy clay and fondant decoration.

Bride And Groom Shower Cakes

My customer wanted a chocolate cake groom and white cake bride. I stressed over this until I saw a cake by mamacc on CC. I got my inspiration from mamacc's bride cake.

First attempt Christmas ornaments. White caramel cupcakes with mini half ball on top. Rolled buttercream, royal icing, pearls and snowflakes for decoration. Some super pearl and luster dust used. Hangers are luster dust covered fondant. Thanks to BlakesCakes for the inspiration and instruction. The dark ornaments are actually purple and blue.

Red velvet cake and marshmallow fondant with gummy teeth(colored to look ugly) and eyes made for a cake walk at a school carnival. It was the first cake to go. Made with the 3D Sports Ball pan.

Lamp Cake

The shade is red velvet cake covered in fondant with icing embroidery. Finial and chain are fondant painted with gold luster dust. The base is a candlestick. I was inspired by another cake I saw on CC.

White cake with buttercream icing. Customer didn't want flowers or any pictures on the cake. She requested green in color and wanted it plain. She had eaten some cake I had made for another customer and said it was the best cake she had ever tasted. She was delighted with this one.
