I finally gave a topsy turvy a go. I think it looks to much like it's collapsing, though.
This is the first time I entered a cake show and won first place. Thanks to CakeCoutureCreations for the encouragement. Everything about this was a first: gum paste flowers, fondant swags, drapes, RI tiara and a pearl mold.
Chocolate cake covered with fondant. Tissue is gumpaste. Gave to a l lady celebrating her shops one year anniversary and a breast cancer survivor.

Body of guitar is coconut cream cake 1 (by Gwen Paine) used coconut cake rather than white, neck is marble cake. Icing is kalamagal's recipe, only I messed up and put 1lb. of sugar but everybody loved it. Those of you who were up Friday night, the strings still broke after using straight fondant. Any ideas for next time?

I made this for my friends dh who is an avid golfer. The cart turned out to be too big, I'll know next time to carve more. Decorations are fondant.
