This was made for a friends wedding anniversary- as it was 5 years we thought that we'd make wood from Chocolate and it developed into this. The couple are represented by the blue birds, their toddler by the pink and the egg is the baby due in August! The cake is a rich chocolate sponge, filled with chocolate buttercream adn covered in more butter cream and chocolate shards. I also soaked the sponge in a port syrup which kept it beautifully moist and turned it into something very special.
This was a cake made for a 50th birthday party. There are 50 flowers all handmade as it was important the number was subtle! The cake itself is french vanilla with a raspberry and cream filling. It looked stunning with silver candles.
This is my first ever go at a stacked cake, it was made for my parents pearl wedding anniversary. I was a little disappointed that the top wasn't perfectly flat but it settled and looked better by the time they cut it. Its all covered in ivory fondant with vanilla buttercream filing. It was quite sparkly and the pearls were fondant and dragees. Any advice welcomed!
This was my first ever decorated cake, its a traditional Vanilla sponge with lots of raspberry and vanilla filling. Covered in fondant with the butterflies in flowerpaste. I'm really pleased with it!
