Grad Cake Gone Wrong
Attempted a graduation cake for my bestfriend's daughter. Gotta Love Florida! Middle tier was strawberry/marshmallow filled, and melted almost instantly when we took it outside to transport!! What a mess! Ended up with two tiers and a seperate cake. Tiki turned out great though! He was made of Rice Crispies and MMF. All tasted great! An of COURSE I didn't take pictures BEFORE transport! UUUUGGHHH!!

Death Of Youth
Made this for a 40th birthday of a friend at work. Inspired by several on CC. Tombstone and grave are both cake. Tombstone is covered in fondant, grave in crushed oreo cookies. I actually added more powdered sugar to the tombstone to give it "age" and used the fondant flaws as extra cracks. The flower was the "added touch" that it needed at the end.

Snowman's Snack
Taken from the pages of the Wilton 2007 Yearbook. I did not use the Wilton pan. Instead I used 2- 8" round pans and a 8" square and carved the arms , neck and hat myself. Everything else is pretty much just like the picture in the magazine, I think. I was SO proud!! It only won 2nd place in a contest at my Husband's work.....the other cake was mostly plastic.....not even close.....POLITICS!!! UUUGGGHH!!!!!

Santa's Vacation
Cake is straight from the Wilton 2007 yearbook. We only used a 9x13 pan, so did not have as much room as we would have liked, and our Palm Trees never hardened enough to place on cake, AND we forgot to make the surfboard, so we improvised. That's what I get for just looking at the pictures and not reading directions! hehehe

Ant Picnic
This was supposed to be my first cake from Fondant and Gumpaste Class. I had a bad time with the "drape" and the "handkerchief" so I kinda got lost somewhere in left field. Everything is Fondant except the Daisies which are Gumpaste and the Ants which are a Fondant/Gumpaste mixture.....Didn't go together very well, will have to work on that.
