My 12/13/14 Wedding Cake
I had not decorated a cake I over 4 years but decided I would make my own wedding cake....in the midst of it, my thoughts turned to, I must have been insane to do this.....all in all, I was very pleased with the final results.
2011 Gingerbread House
My 2nd Gingerbread house. It was donated to the Orlando Festival of Trees event to raise money for the museum. Everything except the base and lights inside is completely edible.
Had left over pound cake and leftover chocolate icing and decided making Cake Pops would be more fun than cleaning house. LOL
NFSC, cinnamon flavored with Antonia74 icing. I made these for my baby who graduated last week.
First Gingerbread House
This was my first Gingerbread House. I figured I could bake, decorate cookies, so surely I could build a Gingerbread House. Much more labor intensive than I imagined it would be and some frustrating moments, but over-all, very happy with my first attempt. Gingerbread, royal icing covered sugar cones for trees, royal icing windows peak, pretzels for fences, and various candies for decorating. The roof was done with fondant.
Cinnamon NFSC with Antonia 74 Icing, rose and leaves are royal icing. Cookies are brushed with luster dust. Made for a bridal shower.
Made these for my guys at work. Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream icing and sprinkled with grated milk chocolate bar.
These are meringue cookies dipped and swirled with sewi-sweet chocolate. I brushed them lightly with silver luster dust. The Grinch That Stole Christmas was on TV while I made these and they reminded me of Whooville, so I re-named them Whooville Cookies. LOL
Where The Wild Things Are
My daughter turned 16 and loves the book Where The Wild Things Are and can't wait for the movie in October, so we designed a cake based on the book. Edible Image with a buttercream Moushie peeking over the top. The sides was made to resemble monster fur. She was very pleased with how it turned out.
Nintendo - 80's Style
White cake covered with MMF and MMF accents......I'm not pleased with this at all.....I remember now why it's been 3 years since I worked with fondant.....it's because I don't like too! LOL This is a birthday cake that my dear friend asked me to make for her boyfriend for his 80's themed birthday party.....actually she beggged me, and I couldn't tell her no. I gave it my best shot but obviously I should stick to buttercream cakes and cookies!
Heart Shaped Cookies
My son is getting married next spring and I'm already practicing cookies for my future DIL. She asked that I do cookies for her bridal shower, and possibly for the wedding as well. NFSC with Antonia 74 icing.
