12x18 chocolate cake with all BC icing. This cake was for my soon to be mother in-law and it was a surprise birthday party. She loved it and so did everyone else. My writing needs a lot of work, but I am getting the hang of it. I have never taken a class and after seeing this cake, my fiance's sister asked me to do her daughters birthday cake next. This has just been a hobby of mine since my first child was born. I'm going to take a cake decorating course and hopefully start my own business.
This was my first cake of this size and my first graduation cake. I see the mistakes I made and I will know what to do and what NOT to do next time! It's a homemade chocolate cake with BC icing. A lot of things went wrong along the way and yet the cake came out perfect in spite of it all. My icing techniques need work.
