Airplane Ride
This cake was for my FILs 60th last summer. He loves planes and our gift to him was a biplane ride. My husband pointed out after I finished the cake that the plane was not a biplane;-) The ckae is iced in buttercream with fondant airplane. It is hard to see but it says "Homer is 60" on the side of the cake to look like skywriting.

Little Fishey Cake
This cake was for my girlfirends daughter who was turning 2 this past weekend and just LOVES fish. Iced with buttercream with krispy treat fish on top covered with MMF. Fish on the side, crab and treasure chest are all MMF as well. It is hard to see from the photo, but there is a large piece of coral behind the fish that is also krispy treats covered in MMF and then covered with large white rock sugar.

Bikini Bottom
This cake was for my girlfriends son who turned 7 over the weekend. The pineapple is two small round cakes with a mini wonder mold on top, covered with MMF. The leaves on top are also MMF. Edible images because I was too chicken to do chocolate transfers! Maybe next time when I'm feeling more brave and have more time:-)

Pink Polka Dot Cake
9 inch on the bottom, 6 inch on the top. Both covered with buttercream with MMF accents. It may be hard to see but it says "Brittany" on the top of the bottom layer. This cake was such a breeze! I planned ahead and made the buttercream the day before the cake, and used colors of MMF that I had left over.

Tea For Two
This teapot cake and teacups for a friend's daughter. The teapot was baked in the sports ball pan, and the teacups were the mini-wonder mold with the top cut off. Covered in MMF. The 'tea' is piping gel. I tried tinted Kayro (from a suggestion somewhere on CC) but my rim was not perfect and it oozed all over the teacups. Had to dump them and start over. The second time I sealed the rim with royal. Thanks for fellow CCers for ideas/inspiration.

Road Of Life Cake
I made this cake for my father's 70th birthday last weekend. It is a journey through the four states that he has lived in - starting in Wisconsin, California, Alaska and then Maryland. The postcards are edible images on fondant. Cake is covered in buttercream with fondant accents. I'll post some follow-up pictures of each side of the cake as you can't see everything at the same time.

Sleepover Party Cake
This cake was for my children's birthday (they are both born in March). We had a joint pretend sleepover party and all the kids wore thier PJs. At the bottom of the bed is our black cat. Everything is MMF, except for the headboard which are wafer crackers. I would do that differently next time. This was my first cake working with fondant and I think it turned out pretty well.

My Three Fish Cake
Not as cute as many of the other fishy cakes posted here. Lots of lessons learned on this cake, like CRUSH your krispies to get a smooth texture. Also, for some reason my teal coloring was glopy and ended up not mixing well with the buttercream so the end result was a spotted icing. By the time I got to the edges I was pooped and just piped on some coral (the royal was not stiff enough and ran). Anyway, not every cake is a masterpiece! Buttercream, with krispy treats covered in MMF, royal coral.

"piece Of Cake" Cake
I made this over the weekend for my daughters birthday. She had a cake decorating party with all of her friends (each girl decorated thier own cake). I thought this cake went great with the theme. Carved cake from two 8 inch rounds, stacked, covered in MMF and dusted with shimmer dust. Enjoy!

Murder Mystery Birthday Cake
This was for a friends daughter who had a murder mystery birthday party. All of the 'players' where literary characters who had to figure out who the murderer was and how it happened (just like Clue). The top of the book has a noose, poison jar and ring all made from MMF. The leather book cover and sides are also MMF. Book pages are buttercream. Ashleigh is the birthday girls name and she turned 13 (hence the XII, and the copywrite 1995). Thanks to fellow CCers for inspiration and ideas!
