My First Pillow Cake
I really haven't used fondant EVER at home, besides the cake I did for my Colette class, so I consider this my first fondant attempt. Also my first pillow cake. I would have carved the bottom a bit more, but the cake recipe I was experimenting with was a little too dense for carving. I made the crown out of gumpaste and royal icing (more sturdy). This was a HUGE learning experience cake, so I guess I would consider it a semi-success!

Fairytale/frog Themed Baby Shower
I made the frog out of fondant, and then followed the feeling to create a whimsical, fairytale baby shower cake. It's a little busier than I wanted it to be (I got carried away!!!), but I am happy with it overall. The well is carved from cake and iced in buttercream, with edible glitter to give the water some shimmer.

Train Cake With Mmf Animals
This was my first carved cake, and my first time using MMF. I made this for my son's 2nd birthday. I wanted to get the cat and dog in there because he's a little nuts for animals!! Hand-carved white and decadent chocolate cakes with buttercream icing. MMF animals, stars and smokestack. Popcorn "smoke", oreo wheels. SO FUN!!!
