Surprise 60th birthday cake. The Volcano is covered in chocolate fondant, the sand is brown sugar, and the palm trees are made from modeling chocolate.
The bottom is carved to look like the cup part of a cupcake, whichis covered in fondant and painted with silver luster dust. The top is covered in buttercream rosettes. The humps are made from cupcakes, and the sprinkles and letters are made from royal icing. Finally, the Cherry is made out of rice crispy treats and covered in fondant.
This was for a Surprise Mexican themed party. The Sombraro is made out of fondant.
