Cowboy Hat Cake For Our Hospice Hoedown Fundraising Event
This was the 1st cake I made for our western themed fundraiser. This sold for $15, and the lady purposely left it there because it wasn't 'fresh'. Expects me to make her another cake just like this one whenever she wants it. There is a post on here about this topic.

Guitar God/kiss Fan Birthday Cake For My Hubby
My husband turned 39 and asked me for a cake the day before (after he repeatedly denied for months that he wanted a cake). So, since he loves the rock group KISS, and I gave him the Guitar Hero video game (you should see him play!) I cut out a pic of his face and glued it on to a pic of KISS, and put that with a group picture of KISS so it looked like there are 5 members, and put flames and guitars all over it. He laughed and laughed....almost as much as I laugh at him when he is playing Guitar Hero.

My Version Of A Toilet Cake
SLK gave me instructions for how to do this cake, and it helped greatly! Many thanks to her! I put too many dowels thru the 'bowl' and it cracked in the middle. I had to rebake and refrost , so the bowl is crooked. You can't see my roll of toilet paper over to the side either.

My First Wedding Cake (And Probably My Last)
I'm so embarrased of this cake. It was supposed to be my gift to the couple, but nothing went right while making or decorating it. Chalk it up to learning I guess, but I'll stick with birthday cakes. The fillings oozed out, so I had to rebake, couldn't get the sides smooth, and I don't like the scrollwork or colors. Bride & Groom LOVED it and they said it was one of the best cakes they had ever tasted. I almost bought a wal-mart cake .....it probably would have looked better than this one.

Werewolf_Cake_Picture.jpg
This is a FBCT of a werewolf for a co-worker's son's birthday. She said he is obsessed with werewolves. Since he was turning 10, she requested a picture that wasn't too scary. The wolf has his claws clenched, ready to pounce on his unsuspecting victim. The blue was sponged on to hopefully look a little like night time or clouds coming thru the dark.

'annie' The Dog Of A Co-Worker For Her Husband's 80Th Birthday!
This is a surprise 80th birthday cake for a co-worker's husband. They love their little dog Annie. She is 7 months old and is spoiled rotten. I was given a picture of her to try to use, and though I don't think it 'captures' her, I think it is pretty good, especially since this is my first 'dog' cake. Many thanks to everyone who gave me instructions. I kinda improvised and did my own thing. Thanks!

Retirement Cake For A Co-Worker
This was actually a retirement cake for a co-worker of mine who retired last year, then came back to work part time, only to retire a '2nd' time. She loves purple and she loves roses, so I fixed her a small strawberry cake and decorated it in purple and with roses. She almost cried! That made me feel better because I couldn't get the icing to smooth out.

My Version Of Disney's Cars - My First Fbct Cake!
I made this today for my newphew Alex's 4th birthday. This is my first FBCT, and I learned several things. First, I had read on CC not to make my transfers too thin or they would break, so I over did it. They were too thick. Secondly, they weren't smooth as I expected. You could see 'swirl' lines where I didn't fill it enough I guess. Any opinions?????

Moving_To_Ny_Cake_1.jpg
This cake is only my 4th cake I've ever done, and I made it for a co-worker who is moving away to NY (hence the Big Apple). Many thanks to Missy for telling me how she made her apple cake. It is hard to read, but the yellow icing at the bottom says 'We will miss you'. The car and moving truck are toys that I bought and put on the cake. The apple is cake that I trimmed and covered with red fondant. The worm is fondant covered aluminum foil. The 'Welcome to NY' sign is white candy melts.

The Big Apple & Wilma The Worm
This is part of a moving away cake I am working on for a co-worker. Many, Many Thanks to Missy, who graciously told me how she did hers, which is also posted here. (Her's is the good one) This is my 4th cake I've ever done, first time using fondant, and quite a learning experience. It's not great, but it could be worse I think. What do you think?

My 2Nd Cake During Wilton Class 1 - I'm Scared Of Clowns!
I think this is ok, considering that this is my second cake during class 1, and I am TERRIFIED of clowns! My co-workers put post-it notes over all the clown faces all through my class workbook! The teacher is great, cause she let me use a barbie head instead of clowns, and it was her idea to make the barbie into a mermaid sitting half in water and half on the edge of land in the grass. What does everyone think?
