Mickey Mouse Pool Party Birthday

This was for my daughters 2nd birthday. She LOVES Mickey Mouse, and was having a kiddie pool party so I combined the two. The best part was making all the little people and MM out of fondant/gum paste mixture.

Chocolate Sea Shell Wedding Cake

This is a yellow cake with raspberry cream filling and chocolate icing. A very big compromise on the fact that the cake was chocolate, but this was the groom's request and they did not want to get a separate grooms cake. I borrowed the idea from several cakes on this site. The shells are in white and dark chocolate with pearl dust on them.

Fishing At The Lake

This was a birthday cake for a friend who can't ever get off the lake. It is a 10 inch round with bc icing. Water is piping gel died blue, sand is sifted brown sugar. Next time I will get some fish that are not blue, so that you can see them! :-)

Daisy Wedding Cake

I made this for my sister's wedding in October 2004. This was my second wedding cake and she wanted it to match her dress. So I made up hundreds of little gum paste daisies and covered the layers in fondant.

My Daughter's First Birthday Cakes

These cakes were for my daughter's first birthday. I made her own cake for her, but she was not very interested. I guess that is what i get for keeping sweets from her the whole first year. She did not like the sugar. But her face made for some cute photos.
