More Christmas Ornament Cupcakes!
These were made for an office party. Cupcake with wilton half ball (small pan) on top, covered in fondant and royal icing. and luster dusts. "glittered" with rainbow glitter dust for that extra sparkle. The sparkle showed up better in person. I didn't add the loop hanger thing b/c I just ran out of time & didn't want to. I put them in an ornament-type box and even put dividers between them which looked really nice. You can see those on my web album, http://picasaweb.google.com/ashley.rovenski/MyCakes

Turkey Cupcake!
Turkey cupcake - idea from Wilton yearbook or cupcake book - can't remember. The cupcake is turned on its side and a bit is cut off the bottom so it lies flat (Wilton said to cut it in half - then you only get half a cupcake!). Pumpkin apple spice cupcake (wilton recipe) with cream cheese icing - YUM!

Puppy Cake View 1
Thank you to mamacc, DianeLM, HollyPJ, and everyone with a puppy cake on this site! It was a big hit! Lots of little pieces of cake were added here and there, but mostly it was the two wondermolds (smaller for rump), a 6 in imbetween, two loaf cakes for back paws, a 6 in cake cut up for front paws, and a 6 in cake cut for the ears. The "scooby snacks" say "Happy birthday" but it's hard to read in the pic

Hat Box Cake View 2
Thank you to everyone who helped me make this! Lemon cake with raspberry filling. Made for a woman's 40th birthday. She makes hats for the KY Derby, so I decided to make her a hat and hat box cake! Just wanted to show the top of the hat box too b/c I worked so hard on it! I tried to copy a design I found online. I think it turned out pretty good!

Baby Boy Shower - Trains, Planes, Cars
The theme was Trains, Planes, and Automobiles - the whole nursery is decorated with these items. I didn't get a great picture of the train wrapping around the cake -but it says "welcome baby". I was so upset though b/c I got all the way to the party and then the little plane broke. :( It still turned out and cute and it tasted great - it was chocolate cake with cookies & cream buttercream & chocolate ganache and buttercream icing.

84 Year Old In Chair
This little fella sat on top of my 84 1/2 birthday cake (in my photos). Thank you aine2 for your help with him! He is made out of fondant and gumpaste. The chair is completely gumpaste with a fondant covering. He is holding a cigar in one hand and a remote control on the other. I painted an image of the NBC logo on the TV, but you can't see it from this angle (he worked with NBC). He also has a newspaper lying by the side of the couch. I was pleased with how he came out.

84 1/2 Birthday
This gentleman was celebrating his 84 1/2 birthday b/c his b-day is in the winter and all his friends go to Florida - so they decided to celebrate the "half". The little things on the side of the middle tier are golf bags cut out of fondant but the picture didn't show them well. The picture is of the man about 70 years ago - it's an edible image. All buttercream with fondant accents. I'll upload the picture of the man on top as well. Thanks aine2 for your help with him!

Pixie Teapot Fair Cake
Wasn't sure how to categorize. Styrofoam cake for state fair - inspired by Debbie Brown's design, although I made a few changes. it's a broken teapot lying on it's side and the little fairy pixies are living in it. They have wings, but it's really hard to see them. I'm uploading other views as well.

Hand Heart Cookie
I left a job where I really enjoyed the people and this was my "parting gift" to them. The poem is an Irish poem that someone on here helped me find. The cookie is a "helping" or "loving" hand. The job was in admin. at a place that helped troubled kids and I thought the helping hand or hands full of love was appropriate. It's a sugar cookie (Penny's recipe) w/ Marshmellow fondant.

Ths Graduation
Graduation cake - it's in the fridge in this picture.... the cap was made w/ chocolate in a square pan and kept sliding all over the place while we were driving! The tassels are fondant. The letters are chocolate and one of them broke on the way, so I had to lay them down on the cake. Delivery was not fun, but I think they were pleased with how the cake came out.

My Little Pony Birthday Cake
My little ponies are chocolate transfers. Cake is marble w/ buttercream dream icing. I didn't get it really smooth - it was so humid! but thankfully the chocolate transfers were okay! They were held up by toothpicks in the back so they wouldn't fall during transfer. It was a big hit!

The little girl asked specifically for yellow, pink, and purple to be used as colors. Confetti cake b/c she thought it would look like sparkles inside. Buttercream dream icing. FBCT of Tinkerbell. Fondant decorations. Brushed w/ super pearl luster dust & cake sparkles sprinkled over it - can't tell in pic.

Roses & Basketweave
Bottom cake is 6 in white, top is half ball pan chocolate. Cream cheese buttercream. Haven't done basketweave or a rope border in a long time - now I remember why! What a lot of work! The roses are all buttercream although a few (the best looking ones) are made with a white chocolate kiss (like a hershey kiss) center (made a/ mold). Best trick ever to use the kiss as a base! Makes roses soooo much easier & tastes great!
