Sugar Beer Bottle Cake

Sugar Beer Bottle Cake

My take on the beer keg cake. Thanks to everyone here, where I could gather enough info to try it. Got my own how-to's now as to what worked for me. Bottles were hard to get them to come out right but I liked the way the whole thing came out and the bday boy thought it was real and his mouth dropped when we told him it was his bday cake!

Purple Widebrim Hat

Purple Widebrim Hat

Cake is covered in fondant and everything else is either fondant or mixed fondant/gumpaste. You can' t see the side, but I raised/rolled up the area near the flower and put lace pieces under the exposed flap. This was my first hat cake, pretty easy & fun.

Choc Ganache Triangle

Choc Ganache Triangle

my husband just left overseas and I made this for a romantic dinner. I had wanted to try experimenting with a triangle cake and used 8" & 10" square pans then did a diagonal cut and stacked them. this was the first time I made ganache and it was easy, but I think it's too much choc when covering a whole cake (cake was red velvet with cherry filling)
