90Th Birthday Cake
This is the cake I made for my great grandmother's 90th birthday. It's the largest cake I've made yet, and I had to transport it an hour and a half away. I was a nervous wreck with all the cakes in the back of the car! I still have so much to learn, and I would love any helpful criticism!

Sweet Sixteen
I made this for a friends Sweet 16th b-day. I still need to work on getting the fondant smoother!! I was leaving to go out of town the day she needed the cake, so I had to drop it off the night before. Her house had no AC in the 90 degree weather, so she kept it in her basement - I think the bow sagged a little though from the humidity! My "cake civilian" friend also had to transport and stack the cakes as well! All in all, I'm really proud of this cake (even though I didn't get to assemble it!)!

Ballerina
I made this cake for a friends birthday - an 4" and 6" stacked. I covered it with MMF fondant and made the tutu out of a MMF fondant/gumpaste mix. It was my first time working with gumpaste, so I was a little nervous! I painted the tutu with luster dust after it had dried too. I still have to work on getting my fondant smooth, but I think I'm getting better! Thank you so much Emmers for your help!

Cheese Wedge
I am so proud of this cake! I'm getting better as a decorator! It was one of my only cakes to come together without any major problems ;) I smoothed the IMBC and then covered with MMF fondant. I just used my fingers to smoosh in the holes for the cheese. I forgot about the mice until the day I decorated the cake, so I didn't do them ahead of time to let them dry. They were kind of a rushed job and I know if I did them again they would look a lot better.

Winnie The Pooh
The cake of firsts! My first time working with marshmallow fondant, making a tiered cake, & working with chocolate transfers (love them BTW!!). Thanks to merissa & Nunuk for the inspiration and design! There are a ton of mistakes on this cake but I learned SO much! I can't wait to make more cakes like this! As a whole, this was the first cake that I've stood back and have really felt proud of myself. I love that feeling!

Course 2
Here's yet ANOTHER course 2 basketweave cake! I threw my cake together really quick before leaving for class & it was VERY slanted! I tried to give it the illusion of being level with all my flowers. The moral of the story here is....don't wait until the last minute & rush the cakes!! ;) I love making the flowers though - especially the ones in the lily nails from course 3 - so much fun!

My 1St Cake
This is the first cake I've ever decorated. It was for the 2nd Wilton Course 1 Class. I missed the first class with the demonstrations, so I just did everything from what I've read on here. It's not terriffic, but I learned A LOT! I'm already addicted! LOL! I can't wait to look back at this cake and see my improvements!
