I made this cake for my step-daughter's 9th birthday. She loves art so when I found this cake idea I just had to make it for her.
I hate that the cake is not a great looking rectangle, but it's still one the my favorite little girl cakes. The woman hosting the baby shower brought in a picture of what the baby's nursery was going to look like. The blocks on the cake are similar to that of the blocks on the baby quilt.

My dad works with the grandpa of this little boy. The grandpa actually came in to the bakery and ordered the cake for his grandson. Little Zaid loves his grandpa's dump truck!
Really didn't know what to do with this cake. The customer brought in a napkin and said she wanted the bear. I think that border turned out okay, it kinda goes with the napkin?!

I did this cake as a wedding gift to one of my best friends. Her colors were orange and green and the flowers were daisies and wildflowers. Flowers are artificial sprays that I arranged.

This is the full set up. This cake was quite an adventure! The bottom cake is strawberry pound, middle tier is blueberry pound and the top and two side cakes are white. The cake with icing was almost too big to go into the garden stand, so the fruit had to be put on when we go to the reception hall, which worked out better. I was worried at first, but the finished product turned out better than I thought.

I have a lot of customers who bring in little pictures of what they want on their cakes. This was the best interpretation I could come up with. I like butterflies, so this cake was fun.
