All buttercream with fondant accents. Ladybugs are made of 1/2 ball cake pans. Samsh cake was iced in buttercream to make the smashing that much more fun! The buttercream icing gave me fits this day. No matter what I couldn't get that top bulge to go away!! But it was still a really fun cake to make.

Alabama Bcs Champs Birthday Cake

All buttercream in buttercream cake. "Big Al" and "Longhorns" are gumpaste. I dusted the horns with cocoa powder. I had my first blowout on this cake. I was rushing and didn't let the cake get completely to room temp when thawing and a big fat airbubble formed right under Mt. Cody's name. Popped it and it worked out okay.
