Another 18 mini cakes for the debutante's 18 candles to blow, this time in pastel pink. (I had posted a similar theme in fuschia, silver and black). The cakes were baked in mini loaf pans, mini doll pans and 4" diameter pans. Everything was done in fondant; chocolate molds were used for the make-up accessories.
I made this for a grand 7th bday celebration. Cakes are covered in fondant and decorated with gumpaste flowers, curls and circles; while the cupcakes were iced with boiled icing with molded chocolate toppers.

I just turned golden this June. I thought my cake should best describe me---cake artist, bold and whimsical, free-spirited, different and funny. Everything is edible and made of fondant and gumpaste, except for the "kitchen-aid" mixer, which was carved from styro then covered with fondant. This cake came with a cupcake tower which I will post separately.

My daughter Alyssa turned 14 and had a sleep-over party with 7 friends. Each girl had her own personalized "bed" cake baked from mini loaf pans. Figures were made from fondant and gumpaste; headboards are made of gumpaste using cookie/flower cutters. The girls stayed up all night!
I made this cake for my friend's daughter's 18th birthday. The debutante wanted "stars'' and the colors teal and silver as the theme for her party. I included a caricature of a girl that the debutante herself used in her painting exhibits. The stars are painted silver and I used teal dragees all over the cake. I also made 18 pieces of small star-shaped cakes for her to blow the 18 candles.
I recreated Narnia world by portraying an open-door wardrobe and the Pevensie kids frolicking in the snow while the creatures of Narnia are looking on.
This cake was made by stacking 18 pcs of "ABC Blocks" cakes, which are 6"x6"x6". The 3D figures of Barney, Baby Bob and BJ were all sculpted in styrofoam and then iced using the star-tip method
These are 3" diameter micro-mini cakes covered in pastel colored fondant. I used different chocolate molded baby things as toppers. Each guest was truly excited to bring home a piece.
