This was a great cake for me to try new things on! The skull was cut out of day old (wrapped in saran wrap so that it didn't get to hard) and the black was diluted black gel colorant with vodka. It was a great hit with both my niece and nephew who are big Pirates of the Caribean fans!
For my first cake I don't think it turned out to bad!! Really underestimated the time it would take me though.
