Treasure Chest Birthday Cake
This is a devil's food cake with chocolate buttercream icing. My son wanted a treasure chest birthday cake but he's 6 so I wanted something easy to take apart for the eating fest lol I made the lid and top of the chest out of molded chocolate and decorated it with fondant. All of the "loot" is edible. I forgot to put on the lock etc... because little hands were trying to eat the loot!

Starbucks Gingerbread House
We frequent our local Starbucks and really love the staff there. Last Christmas I decided to try making a gingerbread house for the first time. I wanted it to be 100% edible and something that represented a place that I loved. This is what I came up with. It's Gingerbread iced in Fondant, royal icing, rice paper with edible writers for the sign and of course some candy. The Starbucks people are made from fondant as well. I learned a lot from this first try so hopefully future ones will be better but it was still fun! In fact, they haven't taken it down yet lol

Castle Birthday Cake With Dragon
My son wanted a castle birthday cake with a dragon on top of it. The cake is iced with buttercream and then covered in fondant. It looked great until I put the dragon on top. The dragon was made out of fondant and gumpaste and ws a little too heavy for the cake but that's ok, my son loved it so I was happy :-)
